If you're looking to safely use hand tools while working at height, but don't want to deal with a cumbersome tool holder or case, the Tool@rrest Heat Shrink Tool Tether is a subtle, but safe solution. When you apply heat, the ring shrinks around your tool with a powerful adhesive, offering compact tool suspension with a D-ring to attach to a lanyard or carabiner. Available in two sizes depending on the size and weight of your tool, finding the perfect fit is easy.

What are the Maximum Safe Working Load of the Tethers?
The Tool Arrest Heat Shrink Tether is available in two sizes. Which size you pick depends on the weight of your tool:
- Small is graded for a safe working load up to 1kg
- Medium is graded for a safe working load up to 2.5kg
How Large are the Openings of the Tool Arrest Heat Shrink Tethers?
- Small has an opening that measures 24 x 50mm
- Medium has an opening that measures 50 x 50mm
What Kind of Tools is the Tether Designed For?
The Tether is designed to fit hand tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and hammers. As long as your tool has somewhere to secure the tether and is under one of the weight requirements above, it should fit.
How Does the Tool@rrest Tool Tether Work?
The Tool@rrest Lanyard is simple and safe to use with just a few steps:
- Weigh the tool you want to attach to the tether and make sure it is under one the safe working load of your tether (1kg or 2.5kg)
- Put the heat shrink loop onto the handle or shaft of your tool, make sure the D ring is on the outside or facing up
- Apply heat to mould with heat gun for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the loop has completely shrunk around the tool
- Allow at least 20 minutes for adhesive glue on inside of the heat shrink loop to set before use
- Attach the D ring to a lanyard, harness, scaffolding or other structure with a carabiner
