Why Choose the Regatta Waterproof Parka Jacket?
With a variety of weather and work resistant features, the Regatta Hi-Vis Jacket is the perfect choice for any professional working in cold, wet, windy and dark conditions. The coat utilises a breathable Isotex 10,000 100% polyester fabric to ensure you stay comfortable throughout your working day. You'll also benefit from its fleece lined body for extra warmth, inner chin guard and taped seams for insulation, as well as three pockets for all your valuables. The jacket is also made from recycled materials, ensuring you stay warm and environmentally friendly.
The Regatta Hi-Vis Coat also complies with a series of safety standards to ensure you receive appropriate protection at work. Its certifications include:
- Water Vapour Resistance Rating (Ret<20) Class 3
- Conforms to EN343 Class 3:2
- EN ISO 20471:2013 +A1:2016 Class 2
Offers Rain Resistance Up to 10,000mm
The Regatta Insulated Hi-Vis Jacket has been tested against water and has been found to have a 10,000mm resistance, which is considered good for most scenarios. If you're looking for a jacket that is better suited to small showers and appreciate a lighter material, a 5,000mm might be better for you, but 10,000mm is considered a good level of waterproof in rainy conditions.
How Are Waterproof Coats Tested?
When testing a waterproof jacket, a sample of the material will be placed under a sealed tube of water and observed over a 24-hour period. The result of the test (which in this case is 10,000mm), refers to how many millimetres of water the fabric can withstand before the liquid seeps through. The higher this number, the heavier the rain needed to soak through your garment.
