EN 342 certifies products that are sold as being thermal, cold-resistant or as safe for use in freezing cold environments ranging from chill (-5°C) through to cold store (-25°) and deep freeze (-40°). EN 343
EN 343 is a regulation that tests and assesses the waterproofing and breathability of a protective jacket or coat. It has three values which indicate these levels. The first number indicates the products waterproofness. The second number indicates the breathability of the product. The third value is represented by an R or an X. An R is used if the product has been tested in a downpour.
