Excellent Abrasion Resistance
These Portwest AP12 Gloves have the highest possible level of abrasion resistance, and a very high level of tear resistance, meaning they offer reliable protection against scratches and scrapes, and are suitable for handling rough or coarse materials. They also provide very low level protection against cuts and punctures, so they can shield against very mild, brief interaction with such risks, but should not be used to work with sharp or splintering objects.
Heat Resistance Gloves
Achieving a level 1 in EN 407 Contact Heat Resistance, these gloves will protect your hands against contact temperatures of 100°C. They are still quite thin and sensitive, so you should be able to handle hot parts and equipment without dropping the item and without burning yourself too. For tasks in automotives, mechanics and engineering, these gloves really do excel.
How Much Grip Do These Gloves Provide?
Due to the nitrile foam coating on the Portwest Gloves, they offer outstanding grip in both wet and dry conditions. The textured surface helps to increase friction between the gloves and anything the wearer handles, meaning they are able to retain total control on even small, fiddly objects and tools.
How Dexterous Are the Portwest Foam Nitrile Gloves?
The Portwest Foam Nitrile Gloves are highly dexterous due to their lightweight, stretchy design. They have a thin 15g liner that enables freedom of movement and touch sensitivity, and are partially uncovered for better flexibility.
Are the Foam Nitrile Gloves Water Resistant?
The Portwest AP12-SG gloves have a nitrile coating on their palms and fingers that helps users retain grip even if they are working with wet materials or tools. However, these gloves are not technically water resistant, and should not be submerged in liquid as their backs and wrists are uncoated.
Offers Comfort and Protection
The stretchy nylon and elastic liner of the Portwest Gloves fits snugly against the hand for consistent wearer comfort and a reduced risk of hand fatigue throughout the day. While their nitrile foam coating provides good mechanical protection and grip, it only covers part of the glove so that users can flex their hand without restriction.
Eco-Friendly Gloves
Made from recycled plastic bottles, the Portwest AP12-SG Gloves are eco-friendly. Saving 227g of CO2 per pair during production, and allowing for reduced water and energy usage, you can have peace of mind that these gloves have been made with minimal environmental affects.
