What Can the Araflame Orange Flame Resistant Winter Coat Do to Help Me?
The coat has several helpful features:
- Fireproof: The coat offers protection against radiant, convective and contact heat, featuring flame resistant industrial wash tape and a flame resistant lining for added protection
- Electric Arc Protection: The coat has an ARC 3 rating, meaning it offers outstanding electric arc protection
- Warm: Ideal for harsh winter conditions with warm lining, detachable hood, cosy ribbed cuffs and hand warmer pockets
- Mobility: Coat features action back and drawcord adjustable waist for comfort and freedom of movement
The coat was made with Araflame Plus, a lightweight aramid with high tensile strength and full anti-static protection. The fabric's flame resistance is inherently permanent and will not wear off with washing.

To find your correct size please first measure the circumference of your chest as illustrated in the diagram below. The coat has been extensively tested so you can be certain of your safety. The coat has received the following certifications.

- A2: Limited flame spread, hemmed

- C1: Radiant heat (scale 1 - 4)
- F1: Contact heat (scale 1 - 3)

What Do These Certifications Mean?
- EN 11612: This standard determines whether a garment offers protection against heat and flames, and whether this protection extends to convective, radiant or contact heat
- EN 11611: This standard shows whether an item of clothing is suitable for welding or similar tasks and will protect the wearer from heat and metal splashes
- EN 1149-5: This standard demonstrates whether a garment protects against electrostatic discharge in environments such as petrochemical refineries where there is a risk of explosion
- ASTM F1959: This standard determines the arc rating of a garment, which is the amount of energy needed to pass through the fabric to cause a second or third degree burn
The coat is resistant to convective, radiant and contact heat and can be relied on to protect against electrostatic discharge in the case of an explosion. The coat will protect against metal splashes from welding, and also qualifies as having outstanding arc flash protection.
