How Do I Wear the FFP3 Smart Active Face Mask?
The Moldex FFP3 Face Mask is designed to be easy to wear, with a comfort nose seal and clip-on head strap. It is tight fitting, but comfortable during use. Once you are wearing the mask, please remember to dispose of your mask regularly and replace it with a new one.

EN 149 is the European Standard that certifies maintenance-free dust respirators.
What Does FFP3 Mean?
These masks are also classified as FFP3 against FFP standards. An FFP3 mask must abide by the following:
- Aerosol filtration percentage: 99% minimum.
- Internal leak rate: maximum 2%
Comparatively, a less protective FFP2 mask has a minimum filtration percentage of 94% and a maximum internal leak rate of 8%.
How Often Should I Change My Mask?
It is recommended that you dispose of your mask and apply a new one at the first sign of moisture build-up, or if the mask begins to appear dirty. Even if your mask is dry and there are no signs of dirt or wear, we recommend that you dispose of the mask after a maximum of eight hours of wear.

To ensure this mask is as comfortable to breathe through as possible, this mask has passed the optional Dolomite clogging test. This ensures better breathing resistance over a longer period, ensuring the mask is as comfortable to wear as possible.
