Protective Standards for Kutlass Cut Resistant Gloves PU500

EN 388

  • EN 388: 4X42C

EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used whilst working in and around mechanical machinery by measuring abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.

The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.

Ideal for Handling Professionals

Whether you work in a warehouse or a yard, you want gloves that wont let you down and that enhance your ability to get the job done. Kutlass PU500 Safety Gloves have a maximum Level 4 abrasion and tear resistance rating, allowing you to lift, carry, move and load material all day long without worrying about tearing and fabric splitting.

Why Is Cut Resistance Important?

Kutlass PU500 Gloves come with a Level C cut-resistance rating, meaning they are capable of withstanding a maximum of 15 newtons of downward force applied by a sharp object. This level of cut resistance allows the user to handle metal, jagged timber, machine parts, standard glass and rubble without worrying about damaging your hands.

What Are the Benefits of Polyurethane?

Polyurethane is a tried and tested material that is incredibly flexible and is used in the manufacture of gloves worldwide. A polyurethane coating excels in damp conditions, as it uses tiny pores in the material to soak up sweat, damp and liquid that do not appear to the naked eye.

Without a polyurethane coating, these tiny microbial specs can compromise grip strength, resulting in drops, damaged product and injury.

Innovative "Sanitized" Microbial Fabric Formula

The "Sanitized" fabric hygiene system helps to reduce the growth and spread of microorganisms that are particularly problematic, such as clostridia and other antibiotic-resistant bacteria. This is particularly beneficial to work gloves because of the build up sweat and the risk of cross contamination from hand to face throughout the day.
