Who Can Use the Mask?

The mask conforms with protection class FFP2, a variety often used in the metal and mining industry where fog and smoke irritate the respiratory system leading to long term health problems. The mask offers an assigned protection factor (APF) of 10 times the Work Place Exposure Limit to fine dusts, fibres, fumes and mists. The mask is one size fits all, and can be adjusted for the individual.

What Certifications Has the Martcare Valved Mask Received?

The mask has undergone a variety of tests so you can be sure of your safety at work. It has achieved the following certification:

• EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009

What Do These Certifications Mean?

• EN 149: This standard certifies that a filtering half mask successfully protects against particles

The mask is certified as offering protection against dusts, fibres, fumes and mists as well as fibrogenic particles that can result in the reduction of elasticity of pulmonary tissue.

How Do I Use the JSP Mask?

The FFP2 valved face mask is easy to use, and you can get the mask on and off within seconds. To wear the mask correctly, please follow the below instructions as guidance:

1. Hold the mask in the palm of your hand with the nose bar pointing upwards and the straps handing down
2. Place the mask under your chin, covering your mouth and nose
3. Take the upper elastic strap and pass it around the back of your head before taking the lower strap and pass it round the back of your head
4. Mould the nose bar around the nose to seal it off completely
5. Check the seal by breathing out hard and ensure that there are no air leaks around the side of the mask
6. Dispose of the mask after a maximum of eight hours
