Who Can Use the JSP Mask?

Class P2 masks such as this one offer protection against mechanically generated particles, mists, fumes and vapours arising from jobs such as spraying and painting.  They will not protect against paint thinners, gases from petrol engines or viruses. The mask has undergone a variety of tests so you can be sure of your safety at work. It has achieved the following certifications:

• EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009

What Do These Certifications Mean?

• EN 149: This standard certifies whether a respiratory device offers protection against potential hazards

The mask is certified as meeting the requirements of the second class under EN 149, with an efficiency rate of 94%. The mask will protect your respiratory system from moderate levels of dust, solid and liquid aerosols, and plastering and sanding. 

How Do I Use the JSP Mask?

The FFP2 face mask is easy to use, and you can get the mask on and off within seconds. To wear the mask correctly, please follow the below instructions as guidance:

1. Hold the mask in the palm of your hand with the nose bar pointing upwards and the straps handing down
2. Place the mask under your chin, covering your mouth and nose
3. Take the upper elastic strap and pass it around the back of your head before taking the lower strap and pass it round the back of your head
4. Mould the nose bar around the nose to seal it off completely
5. Check the seal by breathing out hard and ensure that there are no air leaks around the side of the mask
6. Dispose of the mask after a maximum of eight hours
