JSP Avenger Air Fed Respirator Face Shield and Air Tube

The JSP Avenger Air Fed Respirator Face Shield and Air Tube is designed for use with the Avenger Air Fed Respirator. The polypropylene browguard and polycarbonate visor form an air-tight seal for respiratory protection, and the supplied air tube is 15 meters long for optimal freedom of movement.

What Can the Air Fed Respirator Face Shield Do for Me?

The face shield has many helpful features, some of which follow here:

• Filtered Air: Headpiece is certified under EN 270 and suitable for use in conjunction with the Avenger Air Fed Respirator
• Impact Protection: Polycarbonate visor protects against medium energy high speed particles travelling at 120m/s, liquid droplets and molten metal
• Freedom of Movement: Air tube can be extended up to 15 metres
• Comfortable: Hood to seal breathing area for comfort, headpiece's nylon harness is adjustable for a perfect fit

Who Can Use the Face Shield?

The face shield is intended for use with the JSP Avenger Air Fed Respirator as a spare or replacement part. The visor will resist medium energy impacts and the air tube and face shield will successfully form an air-tight seal for respiratory protection. Compressed air breathing apparatus such as the JSP Avenger respirator are particularly popular with firefighters and the rescue services. 

What Certifications Has the Face Shield Received?

The face shield has undergone a variety of tests so you can be sure of your safety at work. It has achieved the following certifications:

• EN 166
  • ​1, B, 3, 9
• EN 270

What Do These Certifications Mean?

• EN 166: This standard specifies the requirements for protective eyewear
• EN 270: This standard specifies the requirements for light duty construction compressed air line breathing apparatus 

The face shield has met the requirements for compressed air line breathing apparatus, and has a nominal protection factor of 40. The visor is of the highest optical class and is suitable for continuous wear. It will protect against medium energy, high speed impacts of small objects travelling at up to 120m/s, as well as droplets of liquid, molten metals and hot solids.
